Grant Editing and Technical Reviews
Pulitzer Prize winners, best selling authors, and award winning journalists all use editors.
Wikipedia defines
editing as "the process of preparing language for presentation through
correction, condensation,
organization, and other modifications." No matter how good a writer
you are - sometimes you need another
set of eyes and a fresh perspective review of your work.
Is the grant consistent? Does your budget narrative
align with your program narrative? Are your
goals clearly defined, activities towards those goals identified,
and timelines and responsibilities assigned?
For smaller agencies, the grant editing service is an affordable way to help your agency write a winning grant.
Many small agencies cannot afford to hire a full time grant writer. The Executive Director, Program Director,
or other staff person frequently double as the agency grant writer. Writing a grant while simultaneously
managing an agency or a program is a daunting task for even the most experienced grant writer.
Hiring an outside grant consultant to write a grant is often not a viable option for small agencies either.
Grant writing costs, for even small grants, can start at a thousand dollars or more. Grant writers do not
guarantee the success of any grant for a variety of good financial, legal, economical, and programmatic
reasons. With no guarantee of success, smaller agencies are cautious about hiring outside consultants.
No one knows your program better than you. No one knows the need for the program, the target population,
the demographic area, program activities and program outcomes better than you. Sometimes you just need
help presenting that information to a funder in the way the funder wants to see and read it. It is always better
to catch typographical and grammatic errors, formatting errors, repetitive jargons, acronyms, or quotes, or
unclear verbage before submitting the grant. Even simple mistakes can jeopardize the credibility of your
proposal and lessen your chances of approval.
With our editing services, you write the bulk of the grant. You send us the grant instructions, your written
product, and a range of hours you would like us to spend editing your project. That range can be from as
small as two hours to as many hours as it takes. We'll e-mail you our suggested recommendations within
a time frame prearranged with you. Prices are based on the overall agency budget. Please click on the link
